CALTRANS COMPLETES FIRST HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE STIMULUS PROJECT IN DISTRICT 8
San Bernardino – Caltrans completed the first of many Highway Maintenance Stimulus projects as part of the American Recovery Reinvestment Act of 2009 on August 24, 2009.
The $550,000 stimulus project began in late June of this year and was completed in August. The project was located in the San Bernardino Mountains near Big Bear City consisting of approximately 13 miles of asphalt replacement. The project limits started at Snubbing Post Grade Road to 0.6 miles south of Cushenberry Road and from Camp Rock Road to Old Woman Springs Road. The new asphalt will improve the road safety and ride quality.
Caltrans would like to thank all those involved in helping improve our roadways.
