In Memory of Deborah Ross

Deborah RossDeborah Ross - Caltrans Toll Collector, was shot to death as she worked at the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge on August 11, 2009 where she worked for the past nine years. Her fellow workers saw her as a supporter and a mentor, putting smiles on their faces as well and giving an occasional hug when needed. She had the uncanny ability to put a smile on the faces of all who passed through her toll booth on a daily basis. As one couple who drove through daily said of Deborah "she put some sunshine in our day and that is the most wonderful thing you can do with your life." She is survived by her loving daughter Maleea, sisters, Jane, Tyrice, Antoinette, Janice and Ladietra and brother, Stephen.
