Welcome to the Data Interchange for Materials Engineering (DIME)

DIME is the acronym for Data Interchange for Materials Engineering. DIME is a web application developed by the California Department of Transportation, Materials Engineering & Testing Services (METS) to allow material testing laboratories the ability to easily submit sample information and test data to Caltrans’ database via the internet.

Submit a request on your company letterhead with the following information:
  1. Name of company
  2. Address of company including city, state and zip code
  3. First and last name, e-mail address and phone number of person to be account manager
  4. Desired password of the account manager
Send the request to Brett Soldano, 5900 Folsom Boulevard Sacramento, CA 95819-4612 MS 5. Once your information has been received and verified, your designated account manager will receive an e-mail with their username and password. At that point the account manager will be able to add sub-accounts for other users in your company.
