Light Level C and arrowstick, amber (justification required). One

light, amber with magnetic/vacuum base (intermittent use only -
intended for leased/rented vehicles and older CT units not equipped
with permanent lights):

General Mounting Recommendations:
1. Do not mount Level A or B lighting devices behind
tinted glass.3
2. "Visibility of the warning lamps should be unobstructed by any
part of the vehicle 10° above to 10° below the horizontal and from
45° to the right to 45° to the left of the centerline of the vehicle."4
3. "There should be a visible or audible means of giving a clear
and unmistakable indication to the driver when the warning lamps
are turned on."4
4. Level A shall be mounted, facing the rear, on the interior, left
side corner of the vehicle, on the rear deck for sedans and at the
headliner level for wagons and sports utility vehicles.5
5. Level B lights shall be mounted out of the view of the driver,
behind and to the right of the rear view mirror or at the headliner
level.5
6. Level C, D, and E shall be mounted exterior to the vehicle. Interior
mount arrowstick shall be deleted from the approved light levels.5
