How
To Use Webmap
Zoom
- Click on the "Zoom
In/Out" button.
- Click on the area of the
map that you would like to zoom in/out
- Right-click on map to turn
off "Zoom" mode.
Pan
- Click on the "Pan"
button.
- Click and drag to navigate
the map.
- Right-click on map to turn
off "Pan" mode.
Display
Traffic Information
- Click on a VDS dot, CMS
sign, or camera.
- Click again to close message
box.
- OR click on the "Deselect
All" button to close all open message boxes.
Display
Road Closure Information
- Click on State Route Shield
or route number on the bottom of this web page to
view closure information for that route
- Closure information will
open in a new window. Close the window to return
to this page.
Customize
Map
- Checkmark the boxes on the
bottom of the map for the items you would like displayed
on the map.

the map does not display correctly, please check the
following:
1) You
may have an older browser which does not support JAVA.
2) The security settings on your browser are set too
high - You can fix this problem by lowering your security
settings or adding "www.dot.ca.gov" as a
trusted site on your browser.
3) Your browser settings do not allow you to view
JAVA Applets.
This interactive map utilizes
JAVA, and requires a browser that has a JAVA JIT compiler
installed. This is usually a standard install with
Netscape or IE. If your problems persist, you might
consider downloading the newest version of your favorate
browser that supports JAVA, and install or re-install
