SOUTH AVENUE INTERCHANGE RECONSTRUCTION -The project proposes to reconstruct the existing interchange and existing overcrossing structure located at the interchange of Interstate 5 and South Avenue located in the City of Corning in Tehama County. Improvements are also proposed for the intersection of Old Highway 99W and South Avenue. Due to the cost to complete the entire project, construction will occur in phases as funding becomes available. The current Phase 1 project will include: reconstruct northbound on and off ramps; widen the eastbound overcrossing approach; widen and restripe Old Highway 99W and South Avenue Intersection; install new traffic signals at the intersections of the southbound ramps and South Avenue, the northbound ramps and South Avenue, and Old Highway 99W and South Avenue; pavement overlay and restriping. Future Phase 2 work will include widening the South Avenue Overcrossing of I-5, reconstructing the southbound on and off ramps, and the realignment of Bartham Avenue. |

SOUTH MAIN STREET INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS - This project study report is being prepared in a partnership between Caltrans, Tehama County, and the City of Red Bluff. This project proposes to improve access to, and increase the capacity of the South Main Street Interchange with Interstate 5 (Exit 647) by construction of a new overcrossing and new ramps. The area surrounding the interchange, particularly to the west, is expected to experience significant growth over the next 20 years. Four improvement alternatives are currently being considered. Construction funding for this project has not yet been identified. |

LOS MOLINOS SIDEWALKS STATE ROUTE 99 BOND PROJECT - This project extends along State Route 99 in Tehama County at various locations within the community of Los Molinos, primarily between Orange Street and Tehama Vina Road. The project seeks to improve safety and provide traffic calming through the community of Los Molinos, as well as to improve roadway drainage and multi-modal transportation. The proposed enhancements include streetscaping the roadside environment in select areas of Los Molinos through the combined use of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, street lighting, enhanced landscaping, cross walks, bike lanes, and/or improved signage and striping. Also included in this project will be intersection improvements at Aramayo, radar feedback signs on either end of the community, and other traffic calming measures. This project will improve mobility for all users, enhance safety, and reduce air pollution by promoting non-vehicular modes of transportation and improved landscaping. |
