*******299 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS****This summer several safety-curve realignment and paving projects will be in construction on State Route 299 between Redding and Arcata. Please be advised maximum delays could reach 1 hour, 45 minutes.
299 W/CAPSTONE:***4th of JULY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE*****
CREWS WILL BE OFF THE ROAD AT 3:30 ON THURSDAY, 7/2. THERE WILL BE NO WORK ON FRIDAY JULY 3, SATURDAY JULY 4 OR SUNDAY JULY 5. WORK WILL RESUME AT 3:00 A.M ON MONDAY, JULY 6.*****
Crews are working on the sixth phase of the Buckhorn Grade Safety Improvement project (Capstone) on State Route 299 between Redding and Weaverville. One way traffic control is in place Mon-Saturday from 3:00am-3:00 p.m. Motorists should expect maximum delays of up to one hour. Average delays are about 45 minutes.
299 W/ENCHILADA CURVE IMPROVEMENT: Safety improvements are being made on the curve 0.5 mile east of Humboldt/Trinity County line to 0.1 mile west of Salyer. One way traffic control will be in effect between 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
299 W/OLD SHASTA: The Shasta ADA project is removing obstructions and barriers for pedestrians. One-way traffic control is in effect Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m just west of Mackley Alley to Red Bluff Road in the eastbound direction. Expected delays: 12-20 mins. Work is expected to continue through November.
299 E/BELLA DIDDY PROJECT: **UPDATE** Intermittent short closures from Bella Vista to Diddy Wells fire station as crews wrap up construction on this project. Minimal delays.
299E/HAT CREEK CURVE REALIGNMENT PROJECT: One way traffic control is in effect eight miles from Burney from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., including some weekends. Motorists could experience up to 15 minute delays. This project is expected to be completed by July.
299E/ADIN PASS PHASE II: Will begin construction after July 4, 2015 on the northeast side of Adin Mountain. One way traffic control in effect with pilot car and flaggers. Delays expected to be 10-15 minutes. Expected to be completed by mid-August.
SR/44/SHINGLETOWN: Paving maintenance will begin on Monday, June 15, 2015 on SR44 in Shingletown between Bear Creek Bridge to Sandhouse Road. One way traffic control will be in effect Monday-Thursday from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Crews will not work on weekends or holidays. Motorists should expect delays up to 15 minutes. Paving should be completed by mid-August.
SR 44/PALO CEDRO CAPM: A paving operation is taking place 0.5 mile east of Deschutes Rd to 3.8 miles east of Milville Plains Rd. from 8:00 p.m.- 6:00 a.m. with pilot car and flaggers.
SR 97/ANGEL MAPLE SHOULDER WIDENING PROJECT: One way traffic control with a pilot car and flaggers will be in effect Monday-Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. between Angel Valley Rd. and Maple Avenue.
SR 36/Slope Clearing: Maintenance workers are performing slope clearing on SR 36 one mile east of Platina to 1.5 mile west of the Shasta/Tehama County line. One way traffic control is in effect from 7:30 a.m.-3:01 p.m., Monday-Friday.
SR 32/TEHAMA COUNTY: Crews will resume work on the Smoky Creek Curve safety project, 5.0 miles east of the Butte-Tehama County line to 6.5 miles east of the Butte-Tehama County line on Monday, July 6, 2015. One way traffic control will be in effect. Beginning Monday, July 13, 2015, 24 hour traffic control will go into effect until the new roadway is paved. One way traffic control from 6:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. will resume at that time (approximately the week of July 27th) until the work is completed in early August.
