DELAYS ON STATE ROUTE 299 BETWEEN REDDING AND WEAVERVILLE

Update: Wednesday, May 22,2013. Motorists should anticipate up to an hour delay while crews work on two projects 2.5 miles east of the Shasta Trinity County line to 2.6 miles west of Crystal Creek Road.These projects will continue through the Fall.

24 hour traffic control is expected to begin Tuesday, May 28th and will be in place 7 days a week through the end of July.

Work will also continue on an eight mile stretch from Fawn Lodge to the Buckhorn Summit. This project will conclude in the middle of June.Caltrans is urging motorists to drive with caution as there will be unpaved surfaces for the next 30 days.

If you will be traveling on 299 during the Memorial Day holiday, please be advised, work will continue through 3 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013 and will resume Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

If you have questions about the Buckhorn projects, Caltrans representatives will be holding a public open house on Thursday, May 30th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Trinity County library in Weaverville.
