    ***TRAFFIC ALERT*** Emergency work to address deck and drainage issues at several locations along Interstate 5 in Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama counties. Motorists will encounter ramp and lane closures, but no delays are anticipated. Work will be conducted Monday through Friday this week from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.


    ***TRAFFIC ALERT*** Emergency work is underway on State Route 96 near Seiad. One-way traffic control is in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week while crews repair the roadway. Construction is expected to last until May 2016.


    SR 299/BUCKHORN GRADE: Construction crews are performing erosion control and other storm related procedures from the bottom to the top of Buckhorn Grade. Traffic control is in effect Mon-Fri from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m (weather permitting). Delays are between 20-40 mins.

    SR 299/FROM REDDING TO ARCATA: Caltrans is recommending adding an additional 30 minutes to your travel time due to minor delays with several projects.

    299W/Junction City-Industrial Parkway: Pavement work has begun on the Weaverville Pavement project. One-way traffic control with a pilot car and flaggers is in place from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Delays are expected to be 12-15 mins. Preliminary work is expected to last until mid-November. Paving will take place Spring 2016.

    299W/COLLINS BAR CURVE: Slide removal is taking place in Trinity County 0.5 miles east of Burnt Ranch to 1.5 miles east of Burnt Ranch. One way traffic control in effect from 6:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

    299 W/ENCHILADA CURVE IMPROVEMENT: Safety improvements are being made on the curve 0.5 mile east of Humboldt/Trinity County line to 0.1 mile west of Salyer. One way traffic control will be in effect between 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

    299 W/OLD SHASTA: The Shasta ADA project is removing obstructions and barriers for pedestrians. One-way traffic control is in effect Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m just west of Mackley Alley to Red Bluff Road in the eastbound direction. Expected delays: 12-20 mins. Work is expected to continue through November.


    State Route 273 ADA Project: Crews will install new curb ramps and make sidewalk improvements to the northbound side of State Route 273 from Wydham Lane to Parkview Avenue. There should be minimal delays to motorists in the area. This project is expected to be completed by the end of February 2016.


    CORNING SAFETY ROADSIDE REST AREA LONG TERM CLOSURES

    Both the north and southbound Safety Roadside Rest Areas near Corning are closed during construction. The Rest Areas will be completely remodeled over two construction seasons. The next SRRA in the southbound direction is located just outside Artois in Willows. In the northbound direction the closest SRRA is 4.4 miles north of Red Bluff.


    INTERSTATE 5 BRIDGE MAINTENANCE

    Crews will begin working on both lanes of the Churn Creek Bridge on Monday, October 26, 2015. They will remove and replace asphalt. There will be daytime and nighttime closures of at least one of the three lanes, 24 hours a day. No delays are expected, but a reduced speed zone of 55 mph will be in effect during all lane closures. This work is expected to continue through the last week of November.

    There will be intermittent ramp closures on I-5 both north and southbound ramps for bridge maintenance. All ramps included in the project are marked with an orange square sign with long-term closure dates. All ramps will NOT be closed at once. When a ramp will be closed, motorists will see a portable sign with closure information five days in advance of the scheduled closure. Work will be done from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m.


    ROADSIDE REST AREA CLOSURE FOR MAINTENANCE: The Honey Lake SRRA on U.S. 395, 7.7. miles north of Milford will be closed for maintenance from December 16, 2015 through at least January 11, 2016.

    Hillcrest SRRA-3.9 miles east of Montgomery Creek on SR 299. Scheduled to reopen May 1, 2016.

    Lake Almanor SRRA- 4.3 miles east of Chester on SR 36. Scheduled to reopen on May 1, 2016.

    Lt. Davis SRRA - 2 miles west of Beckwourth on SR 70.

    Shingletown SRRA - 3 miles east of Shingletown on SR 44
