- State Route 55 Project adds 5 1/2 miles of continuous access carpool lanes
Continuous access carpool lanes a reality on Route 55! Caltrans has restriped the carpool lanes on Route 55 to continuous rather than limited access.
Carpoolers can now move in and out of the carpool lane easily and lawfully and it was all done at no cost to the public. The new striping was made possible with the passage of AB2906 and immediate action by Caltrans (read more).
