Water District work to impact SR-67 near Ramona beginning Sunday through next week
SAN DIEGO—Lane closures with one-way traffic will take place on State Route 67 (SR-67) at the Dye Road/Highland Valley Road intersection near Ramona on Sunday from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. and next week during overnight hours only (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.) each day from Monday night, May 15 to Friday morning, May 19. The closures are needed so that the Ramona Municipal Water District (RMWD) can repair RMWD water valves beneath the highway.
The lane closures are not part of a Caltrans project and are not related to any Caltrans work in the area.
The signal light at the SR-67 Dye Road/Highland Valley Road intersection will be set to flashing red during the lane closures. Construction workers with flags will be onsite to help direct motorists through the RMWD construction zone.
Traffic delays are expected, and travelers are advised to allow additional time to reach their destinations.
Motorists are reminded to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment in the project area. The work schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
